Bob and Friends of the Sun:

We are now starting our second year with our awning and we love it as much now as we did the day it was installed. We knew we would love having some sort of covering for our South facing deck. It gets non stop sun all day and was because of that it gets very hot and so we never used our deck during daytime hours. We spoke with friends of the sun and they came out looked at our deck, made great suggestions about the design of the awning and the installation. They day the awning arrived and was installed has been a huge change for us. First of all, the awning is beautiful to look at and such a high quality product. But the added benefit for us to finally utilize the deck space during the day has been huge. The awning has added another large space for us to use during the day. We now enjoy our deck during the spring, summer and fall like we never could before. And the added bonus we didn’t even consider was how much cooler it keeps the inside of the house. My air conditioning bills were much less over the summer last year and I look forward to the saving this year and all the coming years.

We can’t thank you enough for all the help with the design, the beautiful installation and service we have received from Friends of the Sun. You guys truly are our friends. Thank you so much.

When I lost my only shade tree last Spring, I purchased an awning for my deck from Friends of the Sun. I had a vast choice of fabrics for the awning and colors for the mechanics and hood (which is an option, but recommended.) The awning arrived promptly and was installed flawlessly. Now a year later, it looks as good as new
after weathering the summer, fall and winter. Yes, it was a bit more expensive than other popular awnings, but, I firmly believe you get what you pay for and dealing with Friends of the Sun is always a pleasure in terms of quality and customer service.
