The well-known HearthStone wood stoves, hand-crafted in Vermont since the 1970’s, blend the slow, steady heating characteristics of soapstone, with the beauty and strength of cast iron. Once the fire is established, these soapstone wood stoves emit a gentle, radiant warmth. Only wood stoves made from soapstone are able to heat an entire home, while allowing the room to remain comfortable near the stove!

HearthStone – The Heart of Your Home!

I have a Hearthstone fireplace insert from 2003. It is making an unpleasant odor. I wonder if the gas logs are worn out? I can not imagine what the smell would be besides that. It has a standing pilot, so the smell is 24/7.
What model is it? What kind of smell would you say it is? Electrical? Sooty/creosote?
I need to know how to view the prices of wood-burning fireplaces.
